Context: A Village inhabited by Sikhs and Muslims on the Indian side of Indo-Pak border faces the misfortune of partition. Muslims have to go. The feeling of losing one's property and going to an entirely new land, brings tears to both communities.
Here it goes..
Not Forever does the Bulbul sing
In balmy shades of bowers,
Not Forever lasts the spring
Nor ever blossom flowers.
Not Forever reigneth joy,
Sets the sun on days of bliss,
Friendships not forever last,
They know not life, who know not this.
